Haute Mama Returns & Exchanges
Whether you make a purchase at hautemama.ca or at our store, returns and exchanges are always easy at Haute Mama!
To make your return or exchange experience the best it can be, we’ve created our policy to exactly match the circumstances of the purchase: a gift, on online purchase, or a Haute Mama Store purchase.
Online Purchases
Please note all returns and exchanges must be made within 30 days of the date of purchase, with tags on. We cannot refund shipping and handling charges.
In Store Purchases
Please note all returns and exchanges must be made within 14 days of the date of purchase, with tags on.
Gift Purchase
Luckily, buying a gift at Haute Mama is a gift in itself: with every gift purchase, we include a gift receipt to make gift-returning and exchanging easy.
All items returned to a store with a gift receipt will be credited with a Haute Mama Merchandise Return Credit. Gifts returned to hautemama.ca will be credited to the recipient’s credit card*. Our Haute Mama gift recipients have three options:
- Return/Exchange at the Store
For gifts purchased either in-store or online, just bring the item you’d like to return/exchange and your gift receipt to the Haute Mama store.
- Return by Mail
If your gift arrived by mail from Haute Mama, you can return it by mail. Just fill out the Return & Exchange form that accompanied your gift, and pack the merchandise and gift receipt into a sturdy box. Then, apply the supplied return label. (Please send all shipments prepaid.)
We understand that making returns by mail can sometimes be the most convenient for our customers. If you do choose to return any Haute Mama purchase by mail, please include the tags for all the items and remember that items should not have been worn or used.

- Exchange by Mail
If your gift arrived by mail from Haute Mama, you can exchange it by mail. We treat your exchange as a new order to make it easier for you to track your purchase online and to correctly credit your return.
New Item Exchange
To exchange an item for a different item; please follow the “Return by Mail” instructions above. Then, shop hautemama.ca to place a new order.
Exchange
To exchange an item for the same item in a different size or colour, simply complete the Return & Exchange form that accompanied your gift. (Shop hautemama.ca to find the necessary product information about your replacement item.) Then, follow the “Return by Mail” instructions above.

Online Purchases
As a hautemama.ca customer, you have three convenient options to return or exchange your online purchase.
Hautemama.ca purchases will be credited* to the account used to make the purchase, unless you indicate otherwise. If you’d like to receive a credit on a different credit card account, please complete the “Credit/Payment” method section of the Return & Exchange form that accompanied your order.
- Return/Exchange at a Store

Haute Mama Store Purchase
Our Easy Return & Exchange Policy means a convenient way to return or exchange an in-store purchase. Just bring the item you’d like to return or exchange to the Haute Mama store, and we’ll take care of the rest.
Here’s how we’ll credit your purchase.
Without a receipt, you may be given:
- An even exchange
- A Haute Mama Return Credit
- A refund on the products current price, if still available in the store
With a receipt, you may be given:
- A cash or credit refund, based on the original method of payment
- An even exchange
- A Haute Mama Merchandise Return Credit
With a Haute Mama Gift Receipt, you may be given:
- A Haute Mama Merchandise Return Credit
- An even exchange
- A cash refund
